Day 2: After breakfast proceed through the coffee farms of Karatu and continue into the Ngorongoro highlands. Continue to ascend the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and have a first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the ‘Eighth wonder of the world’. You have lunch at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, which is perched on the jagged rim of the crater. Wreathed in morning mist, camouflaged in river-stone and cloaked in indigenous creepers it is a triumph of ecological and architectural fusion. In the afternoon visit the Masai boma. Day 3: After an early breakfast, head to the floor of the crater for an opportunity to view delicate balance of predator and prey in their endless quest for survival. Here grassland blends into swamps, lakes, rivers, woodland and mountains - all a heaven for wildlife, including the densest predator population in Africa. The crater is home to up to 25,000 large mammals, mainly grazers - gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and warthog. The crater elephants are strangely, mainly bulls. There are a small number of black rhinos here too. The birdlife is largely seasonal and is also affected by the ratio of soda to fresh water in Lake Magadi on the crater floor. Day 4: After breakfast, spend the morning at leisure and in the late morning or afternoon (depending on the flight) transfer to the airstrip in Lake Manyara for the flight back to Arusha Municipal airport for your onward travel plans.

Day 4: After breakfast drive to Olduvai Gorge in Serengeti National Park. Olduvai Gorge ‘the cradle of Mankind’ is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti Plains. It is here that the remains of the early man Homo sapiens were found. The gorge is a very steep sided ravine roughly 30 miles long and 295 ft. deep. Exposed deposits show rich fossil fauna, many hominid remains and items belonging to the one of the oldest stone tool technologies, called Olduwan. The time span of the objects recovered date from 2,100,000 to 15,000 years ago. Later continue to the Nabi Gate to start your exploration of vast plains of the Serengeti whose endless rolling plains reach up to the Kenyan border and extends almost to Lake Victoria. The park is flourishing with magnificent wildlife. An estimated 3 million large animals roam the plains. After lunch at Serengeti Serena Lodge proceed for afternoon game drive until sunset. 4 Nights / 5 Days –Ruaha & Mikumi National Parks
Ruaha National Park is an unspoilt wildlife park in central Tanzania and Mikumi is the most accessible park from Dar es Saalam.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Depart Dar es Salaam and drive to Iringa town with lunch enroute at Kitonga Inn Hotel. Dinner and overnight at Iringa Hotel
Day 2: After breakfast, proceed to Ruaha National Park. You arrive in time for lunch at Ruaha River Lodge. After lunch continue with afternoon game drive in the park. Ruaha National Park is an unspoilt wildlife park in central Tanzania. It occupies 10,000 sq km and carries 8000 tuskers making it the biggest elephant sanctuary in the country. The Great Ruaha River with its spectacular gorges flows along the parks’ eastern border and is host to hippo and crocodile. The river is the parks lifeblood and provides drink for waterbuck, reedbuck and buffalo. This in turn attracts the predators: lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog and jackal. Plain animals thriving in the grasslands of the Ruaha include: greater and lesser kudu, impala, sable and roan antelope, giraffe, zebra, dik-dik and Grants gazelle. Birds are plenty too- over 370 species have been recorded. Proceed to Ruaha River Lodge, the only safari lodge built along the banks of the Great Ruaha River. Day 4: After breakfast check out from Ruaha River Lodge. Enjoy a short game drive before proceeding to Kitonga Inn at Iringa for lunch. After lunch drive on to Mikumi National Park. Mikumi is located 300 km for Dar es Saalam and is the most accessible park for those departing from Tanzania’s commercial capital. Prominent features of the park are the Mikumi flood plain and the mountain ranges that rise on two sides of the park. You will encounter elephant, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, wildebeest, eland and Lichtenstein’s hartebeest. Lion and wild dogs are among the carnivores common here. Towards the southern end of the flood plain live families of yellow baboon. Over 300 species of birds have been recorded in the park. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Camp
Day 5: After breakfast, enjoy morning game drive in Mikumi National Park. You return for lunch and thereafter depart for Dar es Salaam.

10 Days Southern Tanzania - Selous/Ruaha/Mikumi Parks
Selous Game Reserve is Africa’s largest protected wildlife reserve, Ruaha National Park is a remote bastion of spectacular wilderness, and Mikumi is the most accessible park from Dar es Saalam.
Itinerary:
Day 1: On arrival at Dar es Salaam airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to New Africa Hotel. Overnight at the New Africa Hotel
Day 2: Depart in the morning from the hotel to the Selous Game Reserve. Enjoy a late lunch at the Rufiji River Camp. Embark on an afternoon game drive in the reserve, and then return to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Enjoy a full day game viewing in the reserve. Participate in some classic – style game drives - exploring the bush in open 4 x 4 vehicles. Waterbuck, southern reed buck and bushbuck are common in the Selous. Rare sable antelope, lion and greater kudu also frequent this area. Meals and overnight at Rufiji River Camp
Day 4: After breakfast, accompany an armed ranger on a walking safari in the reserve. The sights and sounds (and smells) of a walking safari are a special treat that will live long in your memory. The thrill of creeping up to animals to “shoot” them with your camera is a great experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari where you will explore the different channels and lakes of the Rufiji River System, surrounded by hippos and crocodiles. A large variety of herons, storks, ducks, stilts, and other water birds may be seen. And you also see land mammals, such as giraffe and elephants. Meals and overnight at Rufiji River Camp

Day 6: Collect picnic lunches and drive to Mikumi National Park and proceed driving to Vuma Hill Tented Camp. The camp is perched above the trees stretching over the seemingly endless wilderness south west of Mikumi National Park. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Camp
Day 7: After breakfast drive to Ruaha National Park, which is famous for its rare sable antelope, roan antelope, and big herds of elephants. The park represents a transition zone where eastern and southern African flora and fauna overlap. Although Ruaha is one of the largest parks in Africa, it is comparatively unknown and, due to its remoteness, remains unspoiled. Enjoy a late lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive. Ruaha River Lodge is the only lodge in the reserve and is built on a rocky ridge with spectacular views of the Great Ruaha River. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge
Day 8: Enjoy a full day game drive in the park. Nearly 500 bird species have been sighted within the park. The river area features large numbers of hippo and crocodile and attracts lion, leopard, hunting dog, waterbuck, impala, giraffe, warthog and eland. Day 9: After an early breakfast drive to Mikumi National Park. Lunch at Vuma Hill Tented Camp, followed by an evening game drive in Mikumi National Park. Predators include tree-climbing lions, leopards, wild hunting dogs and black-backed jackal. You may also see crocodiles, monitor lizards, yellow baboon and hippos. Day 10: After breakfast, enjoy another game drive in Mikumi National Park. Return to the camp for lunch and then depart for your return to Dar es Salaam. Drop off at the New Africa Hotel.

Itinerary:
Day 1: On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met by our representative and transferred to Zanzibar Serena Inn for overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast depart to the former Slave market for a guided tour of the site. Afterwards drive to Maruhubi Palace ruins. The palace was built by Sultan Barghash in 1880 to house his harem but burnt down in 1889. Among the ruins you will still be able to get a feel of the former grandeur of this palace. Your guide will show round the Palace, the fishing village and the dhow shed. Later drive to Mangapwani village. Here, you tour the local farms and visit the former slave chambers and caves. Enjoy a Swahili lunch at Zanzibar Serena Hotel in Mangapwani. After lunch, spend the afternoon at leisure Mangapwani beach. At 1600 hrs, depart from Mangapwani aboard a local dhow and Sail back to Stone Town. You will have dinner at Blues Restaurant. Overnight at Zanzibar Serena Inn.
Day 3: After breakfast depart with picnic lunch boxes for a half-day cultural tour at Kizimbani village. Dinner and overnight at Zanzibar Serena Inn.
